Course 11: Multilevel & Hierarchical Network Modeling
3 credits · 14 weeks · Prerequisite: Dynamic Network Engineering
Multi-scale systems and hierarchies. How do individual behavior and group behavior relate? Aggregation, cross-level coupling, multi-level causality.
Course 12: Dynamic Network Simulation
3 credits · 14 weeks · Prerequisite: Programming for Systems Analysis + Dynamic Network Engineering
Agent-based modeling and network simulation. Implement networks in code, validate models, explore parameter space, understand simulation limits.
Course 13: Collective & Coordinated Behavior
3 credits · 14 weeks · Prerequisite: Dynamic Network Engineering
Emergence from local rules. Synchronization, coordination, tipping points, phase transitions. Why do groups behave differently from individuals?
Course 14: NCFCA Verification & Fault Injection
4 credits · 14 weeks · Prerequisite: Channel Identification & Separation
Test networked systems for information integrity. Cascading failure analysis, attack resistance, robustness verification at network scale.
After Stage III
Upon completion of Stage III, students have:
